The 10th Annual Nevada State Beekeepers Conference will be held
February 21st-22nd
at the Catholic Center, 311 Virginia Street in
Yerington, Nevada

Guest speakers include:
Randy Oliver started beekeeping in 1966, and then went on to get university degrees in biological sciences, specializing in entomology. In 1980 he began his migratory
beekeeping operation in California and now runs around 1000-1500 hives with his two sons, Eric and Ian. ScientificBeekeeping.com

Frank Mortimer is adjunct instructor at the Cornell University Master Beekeeping Program, President of the
Northeast NJ Beekeepers Association, Vice President of the New Jersey State Beekeepers Association,
a Certified Master Beekeeper and author of Bee People and the Bugs They Love
and has written multiple articles featured in the widely circulated Bee Culture Magazine.

Dan Bailey and Kaki Brown:
are the owners of 50 colonies in the Sparks area. They provide swarm catches, trap-outs and cut-out removals of “swarms”. Local stores sell their Dharma Bees honey. Dan and Kaki will teach us about the history and wonders
of mead making with your own honey!
Tamara Wolfson has taught for San Francisco State University’s department of continuing education at the Embarcadero Farmer’s Market and for University of San Francisco
General Hospital’s Cancer Awareness, Resources and Education Program. She teaches introduction to Asian Healing Modalities, Food Politics and Seasonal Healing Food classes at John F. Kennedy University.
