Create an Empty Bowl to Help Fight Hunger
Help fight hunger in our community at a FREE Bowl Making Event For Carson City and Douglas County inside the Carson City Mall shopping center.
Everyone is invited to create, paint and glaze bowls to be donated. All of the bowls created here are shared between both counties. Come on down and join the fun!
The bowls are crafted through a network of local potters and ceramic artists working in their studios and hosting public events. such as this one. Empty Bowls is community supported fundraiser that helps fight hunger. Guests are invited to make donation, select a hand crafted bowl and enjoy a simple meal donated by local restaurants. Participants are asked to keep their bowls as a reminder that there are Empty Bowls in our community.
Douglas County’s event is held in October and benefits the Food Closet. Carson City’s event is held in December and benefits FISH.
