One of 47 stops on the official PGA tour, the Barracuda Championship is an official PGA TOUR and DP World Tour co-sanctioned tournament held annually in July at Tahoe Mountain Club's Old Greenwood Course in Truckee. Televised on The Golf Channel and with a purse of nearly $4 million, it is operated by the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission to leverage of the highest ideals of golf and transform the community and environment. The four-day event includes world-class golf and special events. Tickets go on sale early in the year, and sponsors and volunteers are always needed.
