40Thth Annual Bowers Bluegrass Festival

Northern Nevada Bluegrass Association, 40thth Annual Bowers Bluegrass Festival
Event Description:

A Bluegrass Music Festival where wild horses roam?  Yes, it's true. Washoe Valley is a protected space; the mighty Sierra mountain range rises to the west, and the pinion & juniper-covered Virginia range slopes easily to the east. The area is home to more than two thousand wild horses and an abundance of bird species. Bring binoculars, drive carefully, and look around with intention.  There's a lot to see!

The area is home to more than two thousand wild horses and an abundance of bird species. Bring binoculars, drive carefully, and look around with intention. There's a lot to see! It's also been home to the Bowers Bluegrass Festival for 40 years!

The Bowers Bluegrass Festival takes place in the daylight hours, as the park has no lighting.  So you'll have ample evening jamming time at our Group Camp at Washoe Lake State Park.

NNBA is grateful to the Washoe Valley Alliance for their continuing efforts to protect this beautiful place!
