Healer Hive was founded by Kelly Rice in January 2025 in Reno, Nevada, and launched publicly in October 2025. Rooted in the Sierra Nevada region she calls home, Kelly built Healer Hive out of something deeply personal. She had just moved to the Sierras, navigating grief in a new place, searching for support and not knowing where to find it. The practitioners she needed were out there, but there was no central place to discover them. Too many gifted healers were doing meaningful work, largely unseen by the very community that needed them. At 23, Kelly decided to build the thing she wished had existed.

Healer Hive is an online wellness community dedicated to connecting local practitioners, healers, artists, and seekers across the Sierra Nevada region. We exist to close the gap between the wellness world and the people looking for it. Through our platform at healerhive.com, practitioners can create a profile, list their services, and be discovered by the people who need them most. From one-on-one sessions and classes to workshops and retreats, everything lives in one place so that finding support feels less overwhelming and more like belonging.

But Healer Hive is more than a directory. We believe wellness happens in community. That is why we produce large, welcoming events that give people a chance to experience the wellness that surrounds them. Our flagship event, Gather Well, brings together local healers, artisans, live music, and hands-on workshops at the historic Miners Foundry in Nevada City. We also host Healing the Healers, a practitioner gathering designed to support the people who spend their lives supporting others. And we are expanding our events into Santa Cruz and beyond with the Santa Cruz Wellness Fair, bringing the same spirit of community wellness to new regions.

At the core of everything we do is a simple belief: wellness is not a luxury. It is a fundamental human need. Every person deserves access to support, community, and the resources that help them thrive. And every practitioner doing this work deserves to be found.

Healer Hive is still growing, but the intention has always been steady: build something that actually serves the people who are out here helping others feel better, and connect them to the communities that need them most.
