Northern Nevada Bluegrass AssociationA to Zen Monthly Jam

On the second Thursday of each month, we’re going to convene at a new-old location: A to Zen in Carson City (speakeasy-like lounge in the back of the thrift store) for some bluegrass / old-time / Americana jamming! We’ll start at 4pm with a SLOW JAM - 3-chord songs at a reasonable tempo appropriate for beginners (but fun for all abilities!) Then from 5-7p we’ll SPEED IT UP - moving up to intermediate, easy-to-teach songs. We’ll apply the same conventions as other NNBA jams: go around the circle calling tunes, person that calls walks through the chords of the song then leads the group in playing the song with breaks.
