Carson 400 & CHS Future Runners Race and Car Show
I am writing to invite you to the Carson 400 and CHS Future Runners event. Organized by the Carson City Schools Foundation (https://ccschoolsfoundation.org/), this high-profile community event will take place on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Carson High School track. The evening features a 1-mile cross country race for local 4th and 5th graders, followed by the highly anticipated Carson 400—a NASCAR-style race under the lights where students from kindergarten through 12th grade race in cardboard box cars decorated by our sponsors. In addition there will be a classic car show where you can vote for the "best car" by making a donation to the Foundation.
If your own a business you can become a sponsor and have your name in front of Carson City's parents, grandparents, educators and community members. All proceeds directly support the Carson City Schools Foundation's mission to fund innovative classroom projects, the Jump Start college credit program, Advanced Placement exam costs, student aid, and essential teacher initiatives.
